These are two single images which I have experimented with on various levels. Initially I did scan the two images, one placed on top of the other but felt that this was a little restrictive as the correct composition and opacity of layers were harder to achieve. With this in mind i decided to also experiment with the same two images in photoshop so i had a direct comparison of the various techniques.
Below is the image which i scanned and also the three other images which have been edited in photoshop using various layer modes at the opacity of 69%.

Overall i think the Photoshop images have been much more successful with this image.
